You have the power to make a huge difference in a survivor’s life.

HerSpace is a not-for-profit organisation relying on your support to provide free therapeutic services to women survivors of exploitation.

We are currently receiving more referrals than we are able to support. We are in urgent need of financial assistance to ensure that these precious girls and women do not fall through the cracks and suffer the impacts of their trauma alone without the support to heal.

If you are passionate about the right of all girls and women to recover from trauma and live free and fulfilled lives in their communities, please donate now and let them know that they are not alone.

Fundraise.

You can create your own fundraiser and make a huge impact on the lives of women survivors of exploitation in need of support. Your fundraiser can sponsor women to get the help they need to recover.

Celebration Day Gift.

Who doesn’t like to celebrate life and collect special memories with the people they love?

Celebrations of all kinds are great! And so are gifts, right!? It’s a way for our loved ones to express how much they appreciate us while honouring our existence, achievements and milestones. However, if we think about it, many of us don’t really 'need' any extra stuff in our lives while lots of other people live in very disadvantaged situations.

If you wish to use your celebration as an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while inspiring your loved ones and guests to do the same, ask them to -instead of buying you a regular gift- make a donation to HerSpace so we can continue to support more women survivors of exploitation in need of therapeutic support. Our donation form (click ‘Donate’ button to the left) allows you to select the option to send a customised email message to the person you are donating in honour of.

Memorial Gift or Bequest

Memorial Gift

An alternative way to commemorate the life of a loved one when they pass away is by asking for donations to HerSpace rather than flowers at the funeral or memorial service. You can honour the life of your loved one in a meaningful way, by helping women survivors of exploitation access the support they need.

How to make a gift in someone’s memory?

  • Most funeral directors can organise this for you. Otherwise, contact us directly to make arrangements.

  • A thank you note and a receipt will be sent to every donor.

  • An acknowledgement letter with the names of the donors will be sent to the family.

  • Our online donation form (see ‘Donate’ button above) has an option to donate in memory of someone and send a customised email to the family.

If you wish to receive In Memoriam donations when you pass away, we recommend you let your loved ones know and/or leave instructions in your will.

Bequest

By leaving a gift to HerSpace, you will be supporting one of the most vulnerable groups in Australia to embark on a healing journey to overcome trauma, find purpose and lead fulfilled lives.

Step 1: Decide your gift

There are different options:

  • Percentage or whole of the estate;

  • Percentage or whole of the residue of the estate;

  • Pecuniary gift (a fixed sum of money); or

  • Specific gift (item of value such as property, shares, art, jewellery, etc.).

Step 2: Make or update your will

  • We recommend using a solicitor or financial advisor that can help you use the correct wording and who can make sure your will is legal and valid.

Step 3: Notify loved ones and HerSpace

  • We recommend you let your loved ones know about your decision so that they understand why supporting HerSpace is important to you.

  • By letting HerSpace know, you will give us the opportunity to thank you.
