Roxan Fabiano - Executive Officer
Roxan practised as a lawyer for national and international clients in the public and private sectors before moving into executive leadership of Non-Profit Organisations. Roxan’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws / Commerce (Accounting) (Hon). Roxan has also worked as a business development advisor. She has a diverse range of experience in legal practice, risk management, financial administration, business process review, project management, and governance. Roxan is passionate about helping women survivors of exploitation find a healing pathway to a life of purpose and flourishing.
Mariajose Gomez-Zaldivar - Program Development & Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
Mariajose is a passionate advocate for social justice and human rights. Mariajose has a research background on violence against women and the sexual exploitation of women and girls in Mexico. Mariajose’s qualifications include Master of Social Policy (University of Melbourne), B.A. in Sociology (Honours) (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico), Diploma in Human Trafficking (UNAM). In 2017, she moved to Melbourne to pursue a masters degree in social policy and joined HerSpace after graduating. Mariajose’s role in HerSpace is to help develop tailored services for the women we support, continually monitor and evaluate our services, create a range of resources for both internal and external purposes and support the organisation’s operations.
Karen Adams - Finance Administrator
Karen has been working with HerSpace since December 2018, supporting Finance Administration. Karen has over 15 years of experience supporting administration for several Non-Profit Organisations as an employee and volunteer. Before this, Karen worked as a Registered Nurse for 10 years. In a volunteer capacity, Karen also enjoys supporting Seniors to learn the basics of using iPads and computers.
