HerSpace supports the voices of survivors sharing their stories and ideas to help shape appropriate policy and service delivery in Australia.
Sister Survivors member, Sabrinna Valisce, was involved in the New Zealand and Australian sex industry for over 23 years.
As a survivor, Sabrinna now campaigns against full decriminalisation and believes that using the Nordic Model framework will increase the safety of women involved in the sex industry and increase the support to those who want to exit it.
“Decriminalisation in New Zealand has failed to reduce stigma…Without comprehensive exit services led by sex trade survivors, independent of all legal framework political lobbying, prostituted people will never have their full human rights met. We must place this centrally in all discussions of the sex trade here and abroad. Most of us want out.”SABRINNA VALISCE | Sister Survivors
